I know a place with the bluest skies It's right there in front of me, when I look in your eyes You and your hair sticking to your lipstick lips I'm singin' to you now, so I can tell you this Love is strong, but it's not complicated no no no no no You know love is like a mountain stream It's right there in front of me, but it must be a dream You and your ways, how can I explain One of these days, one of these days yeah Love is strong, but it's not complicated Love is strong, so please don't complicate it Love is strong, but it's not complicated Love is strong, so please don't complicate it, no, no, no, no My love is strong, oh my love is strong Mmm my love is strong, Ooh

Generations 03:09
Generations coming sweet golden child Sees a rainbow with his little eyes And in his daydream in a dewy field Near a mountain in the morning air A distant buzzing seems to bring a different sound Above the valley in the drifting clouds So many ways to live it’s hard to decide The place is changing there’s no mercy from the time In the valley with the twisted clouds A distant buzzing seems to bring a different sound A man sits quiet in a rocket in the sky Looking at the land passing by So many ways to live it’s hard to survive The waters rising there’s no mercy from that tide In the valley with the twisted clouds A distant buzzing seems to bring a different sound

Not Crazy 02:49
I am not crazy, that's just the way that they paint me now Paint me now And I am not lazy, that's just the way that they make me out Make me out And in this one horse town where I come from where the birds fly low with the setting sun And when there's nowhere else I know this is the only place I have left to run. I am not crazy, that's just the way that they paint me now Paint me now And I am not lazy, that's just the way that they make me out Make me out And When I come home I breathe deep into the trees The wind whistles songs through the autumn leaves And when winter comes I will lift off the ground and become one with the breeze I am not crazy, that's just the way that they paint me now Paint me now And I am not lazy, that's just the way that they make me out Make me out And in this one horse town where I come from where the birds fly low with the setting sun And when there's nowhere else I know this is the only place I have left to run. I have left to run I have left to run I have left to run.

The Earth 02:23
It is the earth in which we are dependent I open my mind to the world that we live in Oh countryside, close my eyes, let me listen A new point of view will arise past the surface So love the one you've got Be real with your visions And give what you got So you may, take what is given Love is so important True altruism Life is a lesson In which we gain wisdom Oh I got a good feeling Oh such a very nice place that we live in Oh I got a good feeling Oh such a beautiful world that we live in It is the earth in which we’re all dependent I open my mind to the world that we live in Oh countryside, close my eyes, let me listen A new point of view when I rise past the surface Will arise past the surface When I rise past the surface Will arise past the surface

Constantly 03:02
Sitting by the river Watching the silver Water flowing through the the land As the time flows through my hands Constantly Life on earth is such a miracle Our existence is spiritual We're moving very fast The future will become the past Endlessly There's so much that we don't know Secrets wait to be exposed We can't see with our eyes closed Plant the seed to let it grow and be free Life is such a paradox Time has such continuum Stars shine like fireflies Up into the evening skies Constantly Beaming at the moon above Breathing silky mist below Drinking from a water gourd Words that I have never spoke Before We are such a tiny part Cells inside a cosmic heart One path ends, another starts One day we'll walk into the dark Fearlessly Because Life on earth is such a miracle Our existence is spiritual

House Song 03:41
Two feet through the doorway Another place to call home Not for one, but for many To keep it alive when I am gone Falling down under To put my heart back on the ground If I fall, you better catch me Before I hit the ground Before I hit the ground There’s two chairs in the kitchen But I prefer to stand Looking out of my back window I can see how it all began Falling down under To put my heart back on the ground If I fall, you better catch me Before I hit the ground Before I hit the ground I rest my head on my own pillow Not afraid to close my eyes If I wake up to the thunder I’ll still wake up by your side Falling down under To put my heart back on the ground If I fall, you better catch me Before I hit the ground I hit the ground I hit the ground I hit the ground Before I hit the ground

Hey Sister 03:46
It was the hottest Tuesday of July And I was walking down the street When pretty things caught my eye She was drifting in a bleach white dress Raised the hair on my back I confess I couldn't tell you if she noticed me Getting high off her endlessly This chick is just too hot She's my sun ray around two o'clock Makes my eyes wide and my jaw drop Let me talk to you let's get involved Hey sister sister won't you please tell me Where the sun meets the ocean and the sky meets the sea Show me the way to the bottom of your heart And in the hour of creation I will bless you with my love I said hey It's all good Cause we're still young But from the time You can’t outrun Feel the rain And kiss the sun But your face I can't replace And your eyes Could not disguise What is real to you Cause when you feel so blue I say, I say Hey sister sister won't you please tell me Where the sun meets the ocean and the sky meets the sea Show me the way to the bottom of your heart And in the hour of creation I will bless you with my love Hey sister sister won't you please tell me Where the sun meets the ocean and the sky meets the sea Show me the way to the bottom of your heart And in the hour of creation I will bless you with my love I said hey

Truly 02:19
So many facets of life I can't seem to keep them all straight My soul it runs free When my mind lets me be Truly I appreciate So much to love in my life Never a reason to hate It's all because of the land that I'm from Truly I appreciate What will become of my life? Know I have no reason to fear Because I know All that I can do is grow And keep on moving from here So much to know in this world So many reasons to love one another Color I see It don't matter to me We are all sisters and brothers What have we done to this earth We're putting our future at stake Our actions today Will be coming their way We will have chosen their fate Here I am living my life Now I decide not to wait Happy to play Music every day Truly I appreciate Because my soul it runs free When my mind lets me be Truly I appreciate And you know It's all because of the land that I'm from Truly I appreciate

When I find a way I'll be doing what I know I should And if I die today, well At least I did what I could All of us need Just a little sympathy And all of us need Just to take a second and see All the good that we do And all the love that we bring Just a second right now Just take a second and see When we find a way We'll be doing what we know we could And though it rained today Here comes the sun Shining down on everyone Shining down for everyone Singing All of us need Just a little sympathy And all of us need Just to take a second and see All the good that we do And all the love that we bring Yeah this life is such a gift Just take a second and see When I find a way I'll be doing what I know I should And if I die today, well At least I did what I could All of us need Just a little sympathy And all of us need Just to take a second and see All the good that we do And all the love that we bring Just a second right now Just a second and see All of us need Just a little sympathy And all of us need Just to take a second and see

Band of the Land would like to thank first and foremost, the wizard who was crucial in the conjuring of this album into reality: Ron Rost. Ron spent countless hours arranging, tracking, and mixing over the past few years that we have been working on this album and its existence. Its completion is due in a large part to this hard and generous work. We spent many days at his home studio, listening, adding to and editing the tracks to get them just right. We can’t thank him enough.
We would like to thank Nate Eaton who engineered our initial tracking session in Bangor Maine and got us the first few rounds of rough mixes. We also would like to give a special thanks to Greg Rothwell who joined us for the final steps of mixing and lent his expert ears and opinions. Additionally we would like to thank all of the musicians who played on this album. We couldn’t have created this sound with out their talent and generosity. We are so grateful to get to work so closely with such gifted people.

Extra special thanks goes to our families and friends for all of their unending support!
